As I am very interested in Yii2 and spend some time to track project development process on GitHub (and try to participate a little), I decided to make small periodic digests of most interesting and valuable changes so far. Also I often catch useful hints in GitHub discussions and don't want to loose them, so will try to collect some.

• Finished work on Redis AR
• Started intensive work on ElasticSearch AR support
• • things left to do for ElasticSearch on GA stage
• Added basic docs for RBAC
• Sphinx search AR merged to master
• Bootstrap support needed in framework is finalised so all other Bootstrap features and code generators supposed to be made by each developer on it's own
• Plugins support for Swift Mailer, for example throttling plugin
• added Redis session storage

Recently davertMik had announced an addition to Codeception framework that allows BDD style unit test. Pretty nice like this
